Short biography
Lisa Valerius, M.A., completed her Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Political Science at the TU Darmstadt. In her Bachelor's thesis, she dealt with the topic "The risk of old-age poverty due to demographic change - measures to secure old-age provision in an ageing society". Ms Valerius successfully completed her Master's degree in Social Science at the Ruhr University Bochum in December 2017 with a thesis on the topic "Local counselling and support structures for older people - an empirical analysis of conditional factors for the continuation of age-appropriate care approaches". During her Master's degree, she worked as a research assistant both at the Chair of General Sociology, Work and Economics at the Faculty of Social Science at the Ruhr University Bochum and at InWIS Forschung & Beratung GmbH in Bochum.
After completing her studies until her research assistantship at the NRW Forschungskolleg GROW, Ms Valerius was employed in the field of social and health planning in municipal administration.
