Helena Kukla

Short biography

Helena Kukla completed her bachelor's degree in Speech and Language Therapy at the Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen and completed her master's degree in Teaching and Research Logopedicsat the RWTH Aachen University in 2014. This was followed by a job as a teacher ans supervisor at Döpfer Schulen in Cologne, a vocational school for speech and language therapists. In addition to the theoretical and practical training of prospective speech therapists in the fields of geriatrics and neurology. Since 2018  lecturingat the Döpfer University in an interdisciplinary setting within the therapeutic sciences has been part of her work.

After all, it was the compassionate care for patients within the practical work as a speech and language therapist as well as voluntary work in hospice care who triggered the fascination for the sensitive topic of dying and death.
